Le Clos de Fougères at Montoillot in Côte d'Or

11 kms from Pouilly en Auxois
30 kms from Beaune
30 kms from Dijon

This is Henri Vincenot's country, with panoramic views over the Auxois hills, close to Commarin and Chateauneuf en Auxois. Montoillot is a small village which hosted Garibaldi's eldest son during the 1870 War.

Its XV th and XVII th century parish church (Saint-Didier) with its steeple (clocher arcade) is worth a visit.

Le Clos de Fougères is ideally situated with its two-acre extensive lawn grounds and garden amidst the peaceful, rolling hills of Burgundy. It is a perfect base to explore the neighbouring countryside with its pastures and woodland thanks to a range of waymarked walks. Within easy reach are the quiet banks of the Canal de Bourgogne unspoilt by the leisurely cruising barges.
